The Parish Council have arranged a meeting with HCC Highways and the Traffic Management people from Basingstoke and Deane on the 29th May 2008 to discuss traffic issues in the parish.

If you would like to show your support for the Parish Council and Baughurst: Traffic Matters, feel free to attend at Wolverton Village Hall from about 18:30.

HCC Highways Meeting Report

As already advised the Group had been in contact with Peter Eade at HCC Highways Maintenance Department to arrange a local meeting on Friday 15th June at the Old School House, Baughurst Road. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss maintenance issues along Baughurst Road (see 1-4 below). We believe that good maintenance of the village roadside verges will send a message to drivers that we care about the village that we have chosen to live in.

Meeting with HCC Highways

Members of Baughust:Traffic Matters recently met with HCC Highways to formulate an action plan for improving the safety of Baughurst Road by encompassing routine maintenance.

Wolverton Road & Heath End Road - Planned Changes are Good News for Baughurst

Philip and I attended the last Baughurst Parish Council meeting, at which Mr Peter Eade of HCC Highways (Maintenance) was in attendance. I will leave it to Philip to bring you up to date regarding the points raised on behalf of Baughurrst:Traffic Matters relating to Baughurst Road.
During the Parish Council’s agenda item ‘Highways & Rights of Way’, I am extremely pleased to pass on that some promising issues were discussed. In particular the proposed traffic calming along Wolverton Road and the long awaited need to reduce the speed limit along Heath End Road.
