Following concerns already expressed regarding the immanent commencement of two major road works schemes by both Hampshire Highways and Berkshire Highways along the busy A340 (described as a double whammy by local residents), we are pleased that the Chairman of the Baughurst Society has also now written to our County Councillor.

The Society’s Chairman has written to add the voice of the Society to those which have already been expressed on behalf of concerned Baughurst residents by Baughurst: Traffic Matters. The Chairman has expressed concern regarding the impact that the two sets of road development works along the busy A340 will have on Baughurst and asks what steps might be taken to mitigate the impact of additional traffic onto Baughurst narrow lanes.
