We are a small, but growing group of residents attempting to find a consensus on what can be done to address the increasing safety issues on the roads of Baughurst Parish.
We are trying to support the work done by other interested parties such as the Parish Council and Hampshire Highways and to help them with their long and arduous quest to improve the quality of the environment for the residents of Baughurst.
Although the group was started by residents on the Baughurst Road, it is open to anyone who has an opinion on traffic matters within or peripheral to the Parish of Baughurst.
The group currently has no formal committee or officers, so could perhaps be described as a 'meritocracy', but will no doubt evolve in line with the wishes of it's membership. Baughurst:Traffic Matters is a non-political open forum intended to discuss and find consensus on the issues related to traffic, environment and safety in the Parish of Baughurst.
For the avoidance of doubt, we do not claim to be representing the views of anyone except those that have chosen to contribute to the group. When messages of support or contributions have been emailed, these are made public (with permission) on the site.
All views and opinions expressed on the website or in other forums are those of the individual concerned. The opinion may coincide with that of others and may even be based upon a consensus view, but no claim is made to represent the opinion of others. All contributions (positive or negative) will be published with permission of the submitter, subject to the normal rules of polite society.
The group is formed solely of unpaid volunteers and has no monetary value. All activities (including this website) are entirely voluntary with no expectation of financial reimbursement.
